Afroflamenco es algo más que un proyecto artístico, más que una banda de grandes músicos, es un proyecto sociocultural, dirigido por el artista Sidy Samb, (ex del grupo "Mártires del Compás") en el que une dos músicas que provienen de África pero que han crecido y evolucionado en diferentes continentes. En este proyecto, Sidy fusiona el Flamenco con las músicas africanas más ancestrales, los Gitanos con los Griots, compartiendo un mismo compás y dando como resultado algo único, innovador, contemporáneo a la vez que primitivo, pero sobre todo puro. Las letras en wolof, lingala, bambara, poular, francés, inglés y español son el vehículo del mensaje que pretenden transmitir. Un mensaje de encuentro, fusión y raíces. Un proyecto que nace desde las entrañas del ser humano y que revertirá en las próximas generaciones de músicos del mundo.
Durante los últimos 3 años nueve músicos africanos, españoles y cubanos han grabado un disco de 13 temas llamado DEM DIKK (IDA Y VUELTA) AFROFLAMENCO. En el disco colaboran músicos de la talla de Raimundo Amador, Tomasito, Jorge Pardo, O´Funkillo, Naike Ponce, Diego Galaz, etc.

Afroflamenco is more than an artistic project, more than a band of great musicians, it is a socio-cultural project, directed by the artist Sidy Samb, (ex of the group "Mártires del Compás") in which he unites two musics that come from Africa but that have grown and evolved in different continents. In this project, Sidy fuses Flamenco with the most ancestral African music, the Gypsies with the Griots, sharing the same beat and resulting in something unique, innovative, contemporary and primitive at the same time, but above all pure. The lyrics in Wolof, Lingala, Bambara, Poular, French, English and Spanish are the vehicle of the message they intend to convey. A message of encounter, fusion and roots. A project that is born from the entrails of the human being and that will reverberate in the next generations of musicians of the world.
During the last 3 years nine African, Spanish and Cuban musicians have recorded an album of 13 songs called DEM DIKK (ROUND-TRIP) AFROFLAMENCO. Musicians of the stature of Raimundo Amador, Tomasito, Jorge Pardo, O'Funkillo, Naike Ponce, Diego Galaz, etc. collaborate in the album.
